I just wanted to let you all know that your candid opinions have been tremendous in helping me understand better how things work in your town. I admit when I first started posting on this sight, I thought I knew a lot about Las Vegas, but as it turns out I had only scratched the surface. This forum is a great way for everyone, whether your a ';first timer'; or a ';veteran'; to find out how to make your trip to Las Vegas a memorable one.
I will be there in a couple of weeks again at Bally%26#39;s and then in June at the Wynn and I have to tell ya, I just can%26#39;t get enough of this town! See ya round!

Couldn%26#39;t agree more. These guys are always right on top of things, with honest answers (just the facts), and they really have their pulse on this wonderful city. I%26#39;m now addicted to this board, as I do learn something every day from these folks.
Thanks a million (give or take)...lol

Tom - thaks for your compliment, we always enjoy hearing that we have helped those traveling into the area. Hope you enjoy your upcoming stays at Bally%26#39;s and Wynn Las Vegas -
I love this forum, too! It%26#39;s almost like being in Vegas.....well, not really, but it sure does feed my fantasies of the great time I will have there. Four weeks from now I will have been in Vegas for about 3 hours already and will be sitting in front of one of my favorite penny slots and forgetting about all I leave behind. I noticed that with all the great advice there is in these posts, the main thing is to know yourself, what you expect from a hotel, show, tour, etc., as well as what you can afford, and plan accordingly. My husband and I are not new to LV, having been about 7 times before. We are mid-60%26#39;s and are not into the pool (the image is scary even to me) or the club scenes, so we don%26#39;t take that into consideration. I%26#39;ve noticed some people have said that the Laughlin tour was a waste of time, but have planned on making it anyway, because I think it will suit us and be a break from the frenzy of the strip. Since we will be there for 5 days, I%26#39;ve planned it for the middle of our stay which should be good timing for us. Everyone on this forum offers their opinions (outside of the more specific stuff like what conventions are in town) and it is up to the rest of us as to what we do with it. I%26#39;m grateful for everyone%26#39;s input, even when I don%26#39;t agree.
Totally agree with you all, the information you can get from these people, is info you can%26#39;t get from holiday programmes or travel brochures. You chaps provide a wonderful service, keep it up.
Cheers

Thank you all.
I would also like to add my thanks. Due to the vast amount of info on this site, I haven%26#39;t had to ask too many questions as most of the answers are already here.
I just had to say that I have been reading this site for the past week or so. I stayed ';alot'; in Vegas in the early 80%26#39;s and have returned every 3-4 since. But since reading your reply%26#39;s I have learned ';so'; much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Chicagokid-you wouldn%26#39;t happen to live in the Promenade, would you???
