Casino Drinks

Hi

If a waitress asks if you want a drink, how do you know if it is comped or whether she is going to ask for $$ when it arrives? Don%26#39;t mind paying, just don%26#39;t want to embarrass myself by dropping a dollar or two tip and being told it isn%26#39;t enough as it cost $x.

Casino Drinks

Good point luci, never thought of that one!!!!!!

Casino Drinks

If you are gambling (for example, sitting at a slot machine) and a waitress takes your drink order it is free. If you are sitting at a bar playing video poker you may be charged, at the bartender%26#39;s discretion, depending on our play.

So if I%26#39;m playing, as long as she offers me a drink and I don%26#39;t ask, then it%26#39;s comped. Sounds straightforward. Thanks!

Just sitting at slots is enough to get a free drink, and don%26#39;t wait for the cocktail waitress to ask you, if she%26#39;s in your area ask her for a drink - she doesn%26#39;t care how much you are playing cause she is happy to get tipped.

Generally, the cocktail waitresses on the casino floor will not take orders for drinks that are not going to be comped. If she takes your order and doesn%26#39;t indicate that there will be a charge up front, it%26#39;s comped.

Luci, I have never thought about paying for a drink in Vegas when I am on the casino floor playing either a table game or on the slots. However, If i%26#39;m in a bar, or playing VP at a bar, then I expect to pay unless I hear differently.

I believe that%26#39;s the story in Vegas.. HOpe that helps.

visited 32 casinos last week always tipped$1 or chip per drink, when at bars it cost an average of $5 per drink plus tip.so i would say get drinks off waitresses and tip $1. wife never played at tables nor slots and was never refused a drink she also tipped. was never asked for payment from waitress exept when watching a show so dont be afraid to ask for any drinks they will tell you if it available or not eg some casinos had bottles of smirnoff ice ect some didnt. but all had bud

Thanks for all your replies folks, feel a bit more confident now.

Casino drinks sound like a good deal, but believe me - they are probably the most costly drinks on earth. I spent a heck of a lot of money on slots as I waited for a drink. Gladly tipped a dollar.

Mixed drinks are really small and not very potent. A dollar beer isn%26#39;t bad. A glass of wine was a fair deal too.

do they have non-alcoholic drink? if yes then just basic sodas or something else?
