I have heard storys of people waiting an hour or more in line for some of the bigger buffets. Honestly, how early should you go to dinner in order to aviod such a wait? I am talking about places like the Rio Seafood buffet or Alladin or Belagio or Paris.
Buffet Lines
Sorry I can%26#39;t tell you when to line up because I don%26#39;t eat at buffets, but I can confirm the Bellagio buffet line of being probably 40 to 60 minute wait on a Saturday morning.
Buffet Lines
Depends on which buffet, what day of the week, and what is going on in town. But the answer is the same, either very early or very late.
I like the early side of the equation. If you get there earlier enough like for dinner, you can get the lunch price (less expensive) and sit down as they change the line items to dinner. But timming has to be perfect.
That is exactly what I am talking about regarding buffets. I WANT to go, but I will not stand in line for an hour to do it.
I would rather just go have a sit down meal and be served right away. How much can you eat anyway??
Then again I%26#39;m not know as the most patient person in the world....just ask my dh. ;-p
When there last Aug we waiting in line for about 10 minutes for the Freemont St. buffet, and ate the Excalibur (where we stayed) buffet 2 times and never waited in line. But then again, it was well after dinner time by the time we got anywhere to eat.
In my experience, if you get there like 5 to 10 minutes before the buffet opens you should be okay. Like for breakfast, if buffet opens at 7am get there a few minutes early. More than likely no lines because not many people are up yet after partying all night. If you wait until about 9 or 10 forget it..you will be there forever. For dinner most people eat after 5 or 6 if you get there at 4 again you should be okay...or as VegasHomeboy suggested wait a little later when the rush is gone...
Everytime I go to Vegas I definitely make sure that I go to the Rio Seafood Buffet and the Bellagio for brunch on Sunday.
For the Bellagio brunch, we usually get there sometime between 8-9 and I%26#39;ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes.
I think the longest I%26#39;ve had to wait at the Rio Seafood Buffet was maybe 30-45 minutes and that%26#39;s getting there sometime between 6:30-7:30. It%26#39;s really not too bad of a wait since the Masquerade Show in the Sky is usually going on. Whatever the wait, it%26#39;s definitely worth it to me.
At some places you can get line cuts to the front of the line if you have a player%26#39;s card that is at least one level above the basic starter card. I%26#39;ve never felt comfortable doing so, but it is one of the perks. I%26#39;ve rarely waited more than 20 minutes at a buffet line though.
