Does anyone know of any good sports books on the strip? (When i say ';good%26#39;, i mean nice with free drinks for sports bettors)..
Good Sportsbooks
Stardust is considered the best.
Good Sportsbooks
Mandalay Bay is pretty nice - though to get the free drinks - you do need to get a coupon from the betting window once you lay down a bet . . .
Bellagio is pretty swank, and Caesars will do the trick as well.
These are all pretty well known - i%26#39;d be curious if anyone out there has an opinion on some of the lesser known strip sports books . . . i%26#39;ve heard nice things about Bally%26#39;s, but haven%26#39;t been there.
Ballys and Stardust are great, they are old school compared to the new places, but you can get a line on ANYTHING I here.
Went to Bally%26#39;s recently. I don%26#39;t know about drink comps, since my friend just wanted to make a couple of sports bets and then we continued on, but the room wasn%26#39;t as nice as Mandalay or Bellagio. I%26#39;ve heard the LV Hilton has a good sportsbook, but I haven%26#39;t been there.
Harrahs was good with the drinks. Also has a lot of TV%26#39;s included a couple big ones. I did seem small though.
Golden Nugget is nice and drink coupons come easy.
Finding the right spot to view the games -- free of charge on big-screen TVs, of course -- can be a challenge, so here are some tips:
* Casino Monte Lago -- It%26#39;s about a 30-minute drive from the Strip to this Lake Las Vegas resort, but well worth the trip.
* Hard Rock Hotel -- The doors to 200-seat Festival Hall will open at 8 a.m. The room offers a bar, betting station, food specials and blackjack and craps tables.
* Las Vegas Hilton -- About 300 seats will be available in the Shimmer Cabaret, which usually hosts the ';Aussie Angels'; topless show. The bad news is the girls won%26#39;t be there.
* MGM Grand -- The new 5,300-square-foot race and sports book, located near the Studio 54 nightclub with direct access to the Strip, opens today. The sports book has 44 plasma televisions. Four second-level skyboxes can be rented daily.
* Orleans -- It%26#39;s probably a secret to most tourists, but the Mardi Gras ballroom will be open with seating for about 500.
