MGM rooms

Wanted to find out about the difference in rooms as MGM.

I am looking at rooms at West Wing vs. Grand Tower

Which is closer to strip?

Which one has a better view

Any opinions?

Thanks

MGM rooms

The West Wing rooms have just been finished remodeling, this was formerly the Emerald Tower which was the old Marina Hotel. I haven%26#39;t seen them since renovation, but they are definitely going to be smaller than the Grand Tower rooms, they are closer to the strip, but because the tower is shorter the view may not be as good as the main tower. I would go with the Grand Tower if I were you, just to be on the safe side

I should mention that the Emerald Tower was pretty run down and I believe it was the reason for a lot of the negative reviews MGM received in the past. I am sure it is much nicer nowas The West Wing, but you can only do so much with an older building...

On the web site they say that they have flatscreen TV and Bose radio and DVD etc. in the new West wing room.

Please post if you have stayed there especially if both place so a comparision can be made. As always thanks for the time.

I haven%26#39;t stayed in either so i speak from complete ignorance, but I discussed with the hotel employee who took my reservation last week and she said the West Wing rooms are very cool, modern with the flat screen tv and other gadgets (I think she said there was a flat screen in the bathroom). But the rooms are quite a bit smaller than the Grand Tower rooms. She described the WW rooms as ';cute'; which to me translates as small, like the word ';cozy';. The rooms were just renovated so I don%26#39;t know if too many people have even stayed there yet.

I chose the WW room because I wanted more space. They are also supposed be a bit more upscale than the average King-sized hotel room.

Sorry, I meant I chose the Grand Tower room because I wanted more space.
