sahara that bad?

is it that wrong to go to the sahara?

sahara that bad?

no

sahara that bad?

Nothing wrong with the Sahara as long as you know what you are getting.

Decent hotel with average rooms (ask for the Tangiers Towers) with very little in the way of amenities. A couple of shops and a spa Nice low-roller casino. Big pool. At the end of the monorail line which makes it more convenient considering its at the north end of the Strip. Just stay away from the buffet, no matter how cheap it is.....

herfnerd,

think i will try the buffet again its been 20 years :-)

the coffe shop was good few years back

We have stayed there 4 times over the years. Cheap ';strip'; room when you want to just go to Vegas. I prefer to stay in the central part Bally%26#39;s this May. It has been a couple of years, so the monorail is new. After being on the 26th floor during an earthquake thinking twice about going back again. Don%26#39;t go looking for luxury and you will not be dissappointed. Oh by the way the coffee shop is decent. I would not recommend the buffet. Have a good time the important thing is you are on vacation.

Be my guest, qus! ;-)

I agree that Caravans coffee shop is pretty good, if not a bit slow.....

I have stayed at the Sahara numerous times over the last 7 years and I must admit I have no complaints. If you want a cheap hotel on the Strip then it is fine. I have also on some occasions been upgraded at no cost even to a suite. Granted, it is not one of the hugh resorts but if you want that well be prepared to pay for it. I love the casino cos its small and you don%26#39;t need a map to find your way out. The dealers are friendly and so are the pit bosses. I also love the $3 blackjack. But, like everything else you have to experience for yourself. As long as my room is clean and the bed is comfortable that suits me fine. Hell, you are in Vegas and I don%26#39;t go to sit in my room all the time... Me and my girlfriends will be back at the Sahara end of this month and really looking forward to it. Hope this helps.

';sahara that bad?';

Anytime that question needs to be asked about a Las Vegas hotel/casino, consider it a GIANT RED FLAG. You should

only stay at hotels that have les than 5% negative opinions. I would rec. reviewing the list of TripAdvisor hotels and not going past #25 or 30 in choosing a place to stay. I%26#39;m guessing Sahara is not in that list.

We stayed there in Feb. and liked it very much. The buffet should be skipped but the rest is just fine. In fact we will be back there for a few days in July.

I would look through the top 50 hotels on Tripadvisor. Don%26#39;t just stop at the top 25-30. For example, Bally%26#39;s is ranked #43 and it is a fine hotel, better than many ranked above it...

Good luck

Staunch, any Vegas hotel ';ranking'; that rates off-strip joints like Orleans and Suncoast ABOVE Bellagio and Venetian (as does the TripAdvisor Ranking) doesn%26#39;t pass the credibility test imo. There are still a few kinks in the system...
