Suggestion for a good mexican restaurant?

My wife and I are travelling to Vegas in May for our anniversary. She LOVES Mexican food. Any suggestions for a good place on or off the strip? We are staying on the strip, but would glady take a cab for a great meal. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Suggestion for a good mexican restaurant?

The only advice I can give is DO NOT eat mexican food at

MGM Hotel.

We spent our honeymoon in vegas and decided to eat mexican

here and it was the Worst Ever!!

Hope this helps.

Suggestion for a good mexican restaurant?

Viva Mercados at Jones Blvd. %26amp; Flamingo in a litttle strip mall is the best. We always go there everytime we are in town. The atmosphere is wonderful as well as the food and they have a huge menu.

Bamboleo%26#39;s and Sao Paulo cafe both at The RIO featuring Mexican and Brazilian food.

I%26#39;ve eaten several times at MGM Mexican Restaurant - it is called Coyote Cafe, and it%26#39;s always been excellent, although a bit on the expensive side.

Macayo Restaurant has good Mexican food, but it%26#39;s off the strip, over off of Charleston. It is more of a traditional family restaurant and has great margaritas too.

Taqueria Canonita in the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes is wonderful. The food was delicious and you can watch the gondolas go by and hear the gondoliers sing!

Either Don Miguels @ Orleans, or Lindo Michocan at 2665 E Desert Inn Rd. Stay off the strip for mexican

I second Tlstar%26#39;s recommendation. Ate there last year and it was extremely good and the location can%26#39;t be beat. They also have delicious fresh fruit drinks, aqua frescas, in really refreshing flavors - I had watermelon!

I third tlstar%26#39;s recommendation. Sorry we only had time for one meal at Taqueria Canonita at the Venetian. We ate lunch there on Sunday and it was delicious. And from what I could see and hear around me, everyone else thought the same. Definitely try to eat there once, either lunch or dinner - wasn%26#39;t too expensive and I do think you%26#39;ll enjoy the food and atmosphere.

They must have changed the name of the mexican restaurant

at the MGM because when we ate there it was not called

that. That was 3 years ago.
