How are the west tower suite rooms??? Are they worth 40 more a night.
Stardust question
They are worth 40 more a night vs the Villa rooms. The east tower is ok, 8 floors tall and they have balconies. The Villas are the oldest rooms on the property.
Stardust question
My wife and I stayed at the stardust 2-3 years ago and got a balcony in the older tower. However the view wasn%26#39;t one overlooking the pool but of the roof of the sportsbook which was a drag. And of course I tried everything to get a room move but they are really tight at the desk and would not accomodate us. We had a problem with housekeeping and they gave us a bunch of buffet passes. We were sick of the buffet and of the hotel. I hear it%26#39;s going downhill. Didn%26#39;t like the gaming and the craps dealers. When I was winning with another player and having fun, the dealers treated us rudely in the evening and we just got out. I will never go there again. Their slots were too tight as well just like their desk staff. There should be a sign that says: '; You get what we give you so take it. Thank You, the Management';.
I%26#39;ve stayed at the Stardust back in 1995 and again a couple of years ago (hoping it had improved) and it has not. The first time, our wall in our room was literally falling apart (big hole in one of the walls and fromica-type sawdust on the floor below the hole) and the place was empty - no excitement at all. Ironically, the pool was pretty decent but not enough to make me return. It%26#39;s also too far from the main part of the Strip. I wish they%26#39;d rennovate this hotel, it has so much history and should be alot more for the money. Just my opinion.
well.... stardust was good to me, was there last dec . on free night lva deal,
got n/s king 5th floor standard room. check in-out very quick and easy, i dont spend time looking out window, took quick look it was parking area.
the karaoke that night was good and beer was less than some other strip casinos $3.50 i think. my set $$ for play was gone for day so did not try table games there
.
yes would stay there again
Cali and Yo,
Sorry your stays at the Stardust were not what we as employees would hope. They have made a lot of improvements over the last year and a half. They brought in a new GM who is a lot more hands on than the old boss was. They have remodeled parts of the casino (Poker room, high limit slots, new carpeting all over). And a lot of personnel changes have taken place. Buffet has even improved some. Each night is a different theme. (Italian, Mexican, BBQ, Seafood...)
Hope you might come by and at least give the casino a chance.
Joe
Vegas Man, based upon your expertise on the Stardust, I trust your opinion and I think I will give it another try.
I will be down there a week from Friday. Any chance we could sit at your table or buy you a drink?
I also forgot to mention that I do very much enjoy the bar/lounge there at the Stardust (the one right by the doors to the pool).
Cali,
You are refering to the Terrace Bar. You are certainly welcome to come and play at any of our tables. As to where I%26#39;ll be working on Friday, I find that out when I arrive that day. They use me in a couple of different capacities. I could be in the Craps pit watching one game all day. Or I could be the person giving the other supervisors their breaks in the Craps or 21 pit. Just need to ask or look for me.
Joe
Will do. :)
