Hello Everyone, we returned on Saturday night after spending four nights at the Venetian. I don%26#39;t want to bore everyone with every detail, but if anyone has any questions, let me know.
The Basics...
Sedan/Limo to Venetian for two for $47 total.
Requested upgrade at Venetian for Venezia tower, got it. No $20 trick necessary, just polite.
Great dinners, Prime Steakhouse, Sushi Roku, Canelleto.
One great show- %26#39;O%26#39;, one terrible show %26#39; V %26#39;.
Used monorail, good idea, just not that convenient.
Played in low stakes Hold%26#39;em tourny at Luxor. ( finished 50th out of 76)...terrible.
Very nice trip, it was the %26#39;last hurrah%26#39; trip for myself and pregnant wife.
Any questions?
Rusty
Just got back....
Forgot to mention, we went to Canyon Ranch spa at the Venetian, Couples massage ( prenatal for her, reg for me) She also got a pedicure. Pricey, but worth it. We also had ';limited View'; seats at %26#39;O%26#39; Perfect seats, no complaints, show was not obstructed at all for us. Paid $93 each, person next to me paid $125.
Just got back....
What was wrong with the ';V'; show? That is one we were thinking of seeing in April.
Taxbills,
You seem to roll on the highend. Can you give me a blow by blow of Prime?
Some friends and I are thinking of playing in the Luxor tournament. Would you recommend it? Is it a nice room? Do we need to register early?
Thanks!
Alice
What section and seats were your O show tickets? I%26#39;m going and May and I was concerned the limited view seats. I forget what section they were in.
Thanks!
Sorry for late responses...
First off, the %26#39;V%26#39; show was a bit corny, had a not-so-funny comedian, a couple of Russian acrobats (they were pretty good) a juggler and some basketball dribblers. The show just seemed like something you would see at a circus. I bought two tickets on Ebay for $40. I am just glad I didn%26#39;t pay the full price.
Tickets to %26#39;O%26#39; were section 203 Row P seats 11-12. My wife sat on the isle, she is 5%26#39;2'; and her view wasn%26#39;t obstructed. Plus, there is so much going on during the show that you are not just looking straight, you are looking up down, side to side. Great deal. Are seats were almost center stage second level.
Prime steakhouse was amazing. We got seats next to the window, we saw the fountain show about six times during dinner and it never got old, it is different everytime. The view is amazing from our seats. The food was great, had a filet, wife had some glazed duck thing, we shared broccili and mashed potatoes. Shrimp cocktail app, glass of middle-of-the-road scotch, lemonade for the preg wife= $150.
In my opinion, I would not wander off the the Steakhouse at cc which is brought up quite a bit on this site. If I am on vacation with my wife, we want to eat somewhere special with great food, service, atmosphere, location and view. Plus we ate there just before seeing %26#39;O%26#39;. No offense to the steakouse cc lovers, just my opinion.
The Luxor tourney is small. I signed up at 11am they gave me a seat assignment and told me to be back at 11:45. There were 73 players and it goes by pretty fast. They are constantly raising the blinds. Fun way to experience a tournament setting for only $25.
I am going back there in late April for a bachelor party and 20 of us our having our own tourny there, they host it for free, so I wanted to check it out. Do it, it is worth it.
Hope I answered your questions, let me know If I can help any further.

Taxills,
Did you book directly with the Venetian or through someone else?
Baileybaby,
I booked directly through the Venetian. $149/nt Tues, Wed and $189/ nght thurs, and friday with passes to Canyon Ranch Spa, tickets to Museum and 20% off selected restaurants.
Asked for an upgrade to Venezia tower when we arrived, she hesitated a bit saying they were booked. I asked again very politely if she was sure there wasn%26#39;t anything available. She %26#39;found%26#39; something.
The person next to me was trying to book three nights there, they said the rate was $279/nght for Venetian tower, and $329/night for Venezia. So I got a good deal.
Thanks so much for positng your review.
Please let me know how you liked the Venezia Towers?
Thanks,
LvVegas
ps. Congrats, best wishes, and just the best for you (parents) and baby!
Thanks LVvegas,
the Venezia tower suites were great. A bit of a walk to all the action, but that is the only complaint. I still got confused on our last day! You do need to access two seperate elevators to get to your room. The suites are decorated a bit nicer than the Venetian tower and the %26#39;Turn down service%26#39; is incredible! Housekeeping would clean our rooms while we were away during the days. When we arrived back to our room for the night, the the bed would be turned down, the canopy accent light lit, all the lights were dimmed, the radio was turned to classical station and turned down and chocalates were left on our pillows! I thought that was pretty cool.
We had a great time and my wife was never uncomfortable being pregs, in fact, there were numerous pregnant women there.
