Which tower to stay in at Mirage?

My husband and I are going to be staying at the Mirage from 3/27--4/1 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. I have heard that not all of the rooms are the newly remodelled gold and burgandy rooms. Which tower should we request at chek in. Our reservations are for a standard room at this time. Any other info about Mirage would be appreciated. Have stayed at MGM, Monte Carlo and Stardust but not Mirage.

There are no separate towers in the Mirage. To my knowledge, all three of the corridors extending out from the center are considered equal. I believe that all of the rooms have been remodeled. They had begun the effort when we made our first trip there in 2001. I think they finished it all a couple of years ago. When you check in, you can ask for a specific view, but a ';tower.'; I%26#39;ve always had either a pool view or a volcano view. There has to be a third view that looks west towards the freeway and the mountains, but I%26#39;ve never stayed in those rooms. I would choose a pool view. That way you can see down the strip to the south towards Ceasar%26#39;s, Paris, etc.

You might ask for a Tower Deluxe room. These rooms are on two floors, 23 and 24 if my memory is correct, and they have their own elevator. They appear to be just a regular room with a much enlarged bathroom that has two sinks and a separate tub and shower. The regular rooms have a smaller bathroom with only one sink and a tub/shower combo.

Ask to be close to the elevators. The Mirage has three wings with very long corridors. It makes a very long walk back to your room if you%26#39;re at the end of one of those corridors. Get a slot club card and then go by the host desk before you leave to see if they%26#39;ll cover some of your meals or room charge. You can also get line passes from the host if you want to go to the buffet.
