Hi everyone
Its our 10th anniversary in June %26amp; I always wanted to shop on Rodea Drive and fly over the Grand Canyon. We%26#39;ve saved really hard and booked a week in LA and a week in LV begining of June %26amp; have loads fo questions.
Any tips on how to spend our 7 days would be really appreaciated as we we don%26#39;t want to waste a minute of our time, we%26#39;ve booked a day trip to the Grand Canyon, a helicopter ride down the strip and want to see a few shows. For the night of our anniversary I%26#39;d like to watch a show while having a nice meal, any suggestions? We%26#39;re in out early 40%26#39;s and enjoy going out on the town for a few drinks (we like a wee swally as we would say in Scotland). All suggestions %26amp; advise would be appreciated.
Many thanks

I%26#39;ve been a couple of times with my wife for a week in June - and am there again this year (we%26#39;re from England). Here%26#39;s my tips . .
1) Remember is that it it%26#39;s always very hot at that time of year - it gets pretty uncomfortable outside by the afternoon. So if you%26#39;re there for a week - I think a hotel with a good pool is a must - our favourite is the Mirage.
2) You must see some of the top notch shows.
I%26#39;d recommend Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo - and one of the Cirque du Soliel shows. Also, Blue Man Group at the Luxor is very good.
Some of the shows can be pretty pricey - but they are %26#39;Only in Vegas%26#39; type shows and are worth it.
3) I think you need to get a day out in a hire car halfway through the week - Vegas is a pretty intense type of place - and we like to get to normality for a few hours! We%26#39;ve been to Red Rock Canyon and the Hoover dam in recent years.
4) Nights out are the easiest thing to sort out. We enjoy just going from Hotel to Hotel - seeing the sights, taking in the atmosphere, having some beers and spending a few quid in the slots. All the hotels have lounge bars with live music.
5) You must do some gambling on a table game - if you aren%26#39;t up on card games or dise - then give roulette a go. The stakes are lower in Downtown and the older strip properties.
6) There%26#39;s lots of great places to eat. Loads of people rave about the buffets - but I%26#39;m not convinced. You can eat better food for not much more in all the hotels. Good to try is %26#39;Cheesecake Factory%26#39; in the Forum Shops, Wolfgang Puck Cafe at MGM and Kahunaville at Treasure Island
7) Finally here are a few of the sights that are good to see:- Bellagio Fountains
- Mirage Volcano
- Grand Canal in the Ventian
- Fremont Street Experience (Downtown)
- Wynn Hotel - Opens April.
- Stratosphere Tower.
- Rollercoasters at New York New York and Sahara
- Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
- Carnival in the Sky at Rio%26#39;s
